PENDLETON -- A 23-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged Wednesday by New York State Police with second-degree identity theft, fourth-degree grand larceny, and second-degree forgery, accused of using a bank card he found to make $1,170 in purchases.
According to New York State Police, Joseph Boisvert found the bank card at a gas station parking lot, then proceeded to make 16 purchases between Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.
Boisvert was located and transported to SP Lockport for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Pendleton Court and remanded to Niagara Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. Boisvert is scheduled to return to court on Dec. 9.
