NEWFANE -- A 33-year-old East Avenue woman was charged Monday with two counts of petit larceny and one count of child endangerment, accused of stealing items from a convenience store in the presence of her minor child.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Amy Louise Floria stole items from Kenyon's Variety Store on three different occasion. The most recent alleged larceny occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday when she entered the store with her child and concealed four bottles of Coke in her purse and walked out of the store without paying for them.The value of that merchandise was $8.41.
After watching the store surveillance cameras of the larcenies, patrol found her at her residence, 6127 East Ave, where she provided a typed statement of admission.
She was released arraigned in Town of Newfane Court and released on her own recognizance with a Nov. 24 return to court slated. Patrol notified Child Protective Services of the incident.
