WRIGHTS CORNERS -- Sheriff James R. Voutour announced that at 7:10 a.m. the Niagara County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant at a Wick Road residence, where it was suspected that methamphetamine was being manufactured.

Arrested at the residence was Chandra L. McCourt, 46 years of age from the Town of Lockport. McCourt was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a class A-II Felony and Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the Third Degree, a class D Felony. After arraignment, McCourt was held without bail at the Niagara County Jail. She is due to return to the Town of Lockport Court on November 25th, 2015 for further proceedings.

This arrest was based on a four month long investigation of methamphetamine manufacturing in the Town of Lockport area along with complaints from the public. The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team processed the scene due to the volatile nature of the byproducts used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

The investigation is continuing and further charges may be pending. This is the fifth methamphetamine case that the Niagara County Drug Task Force has investigated year to date which has resulted in a search warrant execution.

  1. Good job but, Sara, Murph or Kloch will just give her probation at Violante's request. Just sayin'. Police do all they can and take all the risks just to have the DA and his 3 stooges louse it all up.
