NEWFANE -- A 27-year-old Lockport woman was taken to Niagara County Jail Saturday night after a traffic stop revealed she was delinquent in paying a fine.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Cassi H. Gentz, 267 Genesee St., pulled out on Lockport-Olcott Road directly in front of a Sheriff's deputy, causing the deputy to brake in order to avoid a collsion.
During the ensuing traffic stop, patrol found the woman's license had been suspended on Oct. 28 for failure to pay a fine out of the Town of Lockport.
She was taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Newfane Court this afternoon.
