WHEATFIELD -- A 20-year-old Lockport man was charged early Saturday morning with driving while intoxicated.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office report, deputies were patroling around Krueger Road in Wheatfield looking for activity related to recent thefts from motor vehicles when they saw a vehicle make a three-point turn in front of them.
Patrol followed the vehicle, eventually pulling it over on Niagara Falls Boulevard, where the driver, Christopher W. Lawrence of 5 Millar Pl., was found to be driving with a suspended license and subsequently determined to be intoxicated. He was later found to have a blood alcohol content of .13 percent.
Lawrence was taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. He is slated to appear in Town of Wheatfield Court on Wednesday.
