Lockport police charged a 31-year-old Harvey Avenue man Wednesday in conjunction with what they say was a meth lab they discovered in a Pine Street home on Sept. 28.

Derrick D. Powell, was brought in on an outstanding Niagara County Sheriff's Office warrant at the time but charges remained pending until Wednesday when he was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamines.

LPD says meth was being produced in the upper apartment of 240 Pine St., home to 32-year-old Ashley Urban, who was charged with third-degree unlawful production of methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a child on the date the meth lab was discovered.

When police searched the home, Powell was found hiding in the attic.
