Nancy B. Corwin, of Barker, NY, entered into rest on October 13th, 2015.

Nancy was born October 15th, 1934 to Charles Everett Brayley and Ellen Gertrude Haight Brayley. She married Richard Corwin on July 2nd 1955; they were married for 55 years until his death in 2010.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Gene C. Brayley, three children: Dale (Karen) Corwin, Stephen (Annette) Corwin and Lisa (Michael) Earp as well as her 8 grandchildren:  Briana (Brian) Finnegan, Seanna (Phil) Corwin Bradley, Janine (Brian) Alfonso, Thomas (Trista) Corwin, Derek Corwin, Dustin Earp, Hannah (Kaleb) Earp and Morgan Earp. She was also a proud great grandmother to 7 great granddaughters:  Peyton and Lilian Bradley, Rosalyn and Adalynn Alfonso, Aliza and Avery Corwin and Ava Earp (due January 2016).

Throughout her life, Nancy stayed active in her community serving as the first female school board member for the Barker Central School district, the Vice President of the Orleans Niagara BOCES board, past Coordinator of the Barker Alumni Association, member of the Order of the Eastern Star,  proud member of the Hogan’s Heroes female barbershop quartet, past Treasurer of Faith United Methodist Church and long-time member of the Faith United Methodist Church Choir.

Family and friends may call at Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home 1708 Pallister Ave. Barker, NY on Sunday, October 18th from 2-5 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, October 19th at Faith United Methodist Church in Barker with interment to immediately follow at Somerset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Faith United Methodist Church, 1449 Quaker Rd. Barker, NY 14012 and the Barker Alumni Association, PO Box 266 Barker, NY 14012.
