For the second straight week, Lockport Express defenseman Gibson Stuart was given an honorable mention in the NA3EHL Star of the Week notice. This week, goaltender Tim Schiess joined him in the honors.
The West Division Star of the Week was Jersey Shore Wildcats forward Jared Karas, who tallied nine points in three wins over the Skylands Kings. Kyle VanWagner, goaltender for the Syracuse Stampede, took second honors.
Other honorable mentions included Ryan Flanagan, forward for the Wilkes-Barre Miners; Nick Sanborn, forward for the Syracuse Stampede; and Alex Tan, Jersey Shore Wildcats defenseman.
The Lockport Express play a pair of away games this weekend — Saturday against the Maine Wild and Sunday against the New England Stars.
The Express currently stand in third place in the NA3EHL West with a record of 5-4-1.
