TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Four Lockport teenagers were sent home by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies early Sunday morning after being found playing with airsoft guns at George Southard Elementary School.
According to NCSO, patrol pulled into the school around 2:12 a.m. and noticed two males in the front grass between the school and Locust Street. Patrol identified the two males and asked what they were doing. Both said they were playing airsoft on the school property.
Patrol took an airsoft pistol off one of the boys and asked if there was anyone else with them. The male who had given patrol his airsoft pistol said there were two more. Patrol found two more males on the side of the school, each with an airsoft pistol.
Patrol took the airsoft pistols and placed them in the trunks of the teens' vehicles and sent the two 18-year-olds on their way. The other two males were juveniles and were picked up by family members.
No charges were filed at the time, however NCSO was to follow up with the school in regards to the incident.
