Mary A. Muscarella entered into rest August 31, 2015, at Odd Fellow & Rebekah HCF.

Born April 24, 1919, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Teresa (Barca) Bova. Mary grew up in the west side of Buffalo in the neighborhood grocery store on Connecticut St. that was operated by her parents, where she was the youngest of 5 sisters. She married Alexander Muscarella in 1939 and moved to Lockport where they raised a son, Alexander Muscarella, and a daughter, Lorraine(Anthony) Ventura. He predeceased her in 1983.

Mary worked for several years as a cook and waitress at Macams Restaurant on Main St, where her claim to fame was peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. She retired from Harrison Radiator west plant in 1980. Mary was an excellent cook and baker. She lovingly made cookies for all her grandchildren's showers, weddings and the holidays. She loved playing cards, gardening and most of all family gatherings.
Beloved wife of the late Alexander C. Muscarella; beloved mother of Alexander Muscarella and Lorraine (Anthony) Ventura; cherished grandmother of Anthony (Christine) Ventura, Christopher Ventura, Thomas (Dawn) Ventura, Angela DeFabbio and Michele Davidson; cherished great grandmother of Christy, Andrew, Kathlyn and Mackenzie Ventura, Mikaela, Alexa and Amara Ventura, Matthew Defabbio,Donald, Alexander, Olivia Davidson; cherished great great grandmother of Lucas O'Riley Kearns. Predeceased by sisters Betty, Santa, Frances, Jospine and a brother Rudolpho Bova. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 2-7 on Thursday at the TAYLOR & REYNOLDS FUNERAL HOME, corner of Transit and Niagara Streets.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at All Saints Oratory, 391 Market St at 11:00 am (please assemble at church). Entombment in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to Niagara Hopsice or Odd Fellow & Rebekah HCF.
