The Lockport Express will honor police and firefighters at their home opener on Sept. 11.
A pre-game ceremony will be held in honor of the first responders, including color guard and honor guard by the Lockport police and fire departments. Pete Robinson will sing the national anthem, and Mayor Anne McCaffrey will do the honorary puck drop for the game against the Roc City Royals.
Members of local police and fire departments will be granted free admission to the game.
The team is asking all those who attend the 7:30 p.m. game to wear red, white and blue.
