NEWFANE — Niagara County Sheriff's deputies charged a man with speeding and reckless driving on Wednesday after speed radar said the man was traveling over 100 mph.
According to the NCSO report, Brian J. T. Meloon, no age or address given, was northbound on Hess Road when patrol saw him driving "at a high rate of speed." He was seen driving through multiple intersections with cars waiting to turn. When patrol got close enough to use radar, is showed a reading of 110 mph.
Meloon told patrol he was tired and just trying to get home faster.
He is due in Town of Newfane Court on Sept. 15.
