ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
An 18-year-old Lockport girl was charged early Sunday morning with DWI and other charges after police say she sheered a utility pole on South Transit Street and damaged three cars in the Nickel City Auto Sales parking lot.
According to LPD, Casey J. Stover, 45 Oliver St., struck the pole before dawn and was found by police outside her vehicle, which was in the car lot.
NYSEG was called to the scene to fix the broken pole because it was hanging from the overhead wires. Stover, meanwhile, was taken to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport by Twin City Ambulance. Patrol followed her shortly thereafter and charged her with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and a lane violation.
Stover is due in City Court on Aug. 12 to answer to the charges.
