ENP STAFF REPORTS

MIDDLEPORT — The Royalton Hartland Community Library will hold a presentation on researching family backgrounds at 7 p.m. Aug. 24.
The program, “Climbing Your Family Tree," will be led by local genealogist Lou Omel, a consultant from the Family History Center in Williamsville. It will focus on how to use the online database available at Ancestry LE to research family backgrounds. It will be followed by a question and answer period.
When the library is open, patrons can access Ancestry LE from one of the library’s public computers or from their own devices using the library’s Wi-Fi connection. Omel will explain how to use the online resource effectively.
As space is limited, it is advised to register for this program by calling the library at 735-3281. Anyone attending the program with a special interest such as specific countries of origin, the military, local history, the Civil War, or other topics are asked to let the library know when they register.
The Royalton Hartland Community Library provides residents a wide variety of programs and materials that can be found on the library’s website at www.RoyHartCommunityLibrary.com.
