TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Tonawanda Creek Road woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies she believes someone cut the brake line on her vehicle.
The woman said she entered her motor vehicle on July 11 and attempted to move it from her driveway. "Once her motor vehicle was on she observed her check engine light was illuminated," according to the report filed with NCSO. "The light indicated that her brakes were malfunctioning. (She) pressed the brake pedal with her foot. The pedal reached to the floor. (She) observed a large amount of brake fluid in her driveway."
Patrol observed the fluid in two large puddles in her driveway. The woman said she operated the vehicle the previous evening without having any mechanical issues. Patrol advised her to have the vehicle inspected at by a professional, who reported back that it appeared a party severed her brake line.
The complainant gave patrol a possible suspect in the case.
