TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 53-year-old Florida woman was charged Saturday with DWI, driving while impaired by drugs, and an improper turn.
According to the New York State Police, Rachelle D. Roberts of Mexico Beach, Fla. was stopped by Troopers following a report of an erratic driver. Roberts was observed driving a vehicle fitting the description that had been reported to police while making an improper left turn onto Strauss Road.
During the interviewing process, Troopers noticed a strong odor of aerosol paint like substance coming from her vehicle. It was observed she was covered in a clear like substance and located in the vehicle was a can of glaze aerosol sealant with a bag that was full of the substance.
While Roberts failed field sobriety tests, she was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.00 percent. A urine kit was completed at ENH-Lockport.
She was issued Traffic Tickets returnable to the Town of Lockport Court on July 23.
