TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A group of Niagara County Libertarians is holding a meet-and-greet at 1 p.m. June 13 at Applebee's on South Transit Road.
Organized by Kimberly Richards, the meet-and-greet is the first step towards having an official county chapter of the New York Libertarian Party.
Richards, who comes to Lockport by way of Arizona, is a former Republican who was turned on to libertarianism by Texas Congessman Ron Paul. After the freelance writer with an education in communication and political science got involved in politics in Arizona, she and her family moved here to Lockport where there currently is no Libertarian Party.
