TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 30-year-old Maple, Ont., Canada man was charged with DWI following a Transit Road traffic stop.
According to New York State Police, Pouriya Shakeri was stopped Saturday for no plate light on South Transit Road when Troopers observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him. He was administered the standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed.
Shakeri was transported to SP Lockport for processing where he was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.15 percent. He was arraigned in the Town of Lockport Court and remanded to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $250 cash bail.

$250.00 bail? If an American got nabbed in Canada there would be NO bail, no release until it as adjudicated in court with all costs and fines paid lol.
