TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 28-year-old Lockport man was charged Friday with DWI, speeding and driving without a license following a South Transit Road traffic stop.
According to New York State Police, Neil K. Kapoor was stopped for speeding on South Transit Road. During the interviewing process, Troopers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. He was administered the standardized sobriety field tests, which he subsequently failed.
Kapoor was arrested and transported to SP Lockport for processing, where he recorded a BAC of 0.14 percent. A computer checked revealed that Kapoor was operating with a suspended license.
Kapoor was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Lockport Court on April 23.
