GASPORT — A house fire at 8146 State Street did approximately $5,000 damage Thursday night.
The fire, which started around 11 p.m., damaged the exterior wall of the home and did minor smoke damage inside the building.
Gasport Chemical Hose contained the fire to the exterior wall, the framing between the exterior wall and inside drywall, and drywall itself, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The fire is under investigation by Niagara County Cause and Origin.
