Grant funds are available for home repair for rural Niagara County residents who own their own homes and reside in one of the 12 towns in Niagara County, Niagara Community Action Program, Inc. announced today.
Home repairs can include gutters, downspouts, roofs, furnaces, hot water tanks, chimneys and foundations, porch repairs, replacement doors and windows, electrical, plumbing, and accessibility modifications such as ramps or lifts.
The scope of work and amount of financial assistance will be determined by an inspection of home. Homeowners must meet income eligibility guidelines and other program criteria. Income guidelines vary depending on the grant-funding source.
Interested parties are asked to call Niagara Community Action Program Inc.'s Rural Preservation Program at 434-4679 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday or email ruralpreservation@verizon.net for more information.
