APPLETON ― At the recent Florida State International Wine Competition, The Winery at Marjim Manor received four medals for the four wines it submitted, including Gold-Medal honors for Slice of Heaven, the winery's new sweet apple wine, which is a blend of various apples that "pairs well with barbecued chicken, spicy dishes and fruit desserts."
A silver medal was awarded to Applegria, a blend of apple, peach and pear wines. Legacy and A Pear Made in Heaven both won bronze medals.
The Winery is open 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, and noon until 6 p.m. on Sundays for tastings. Also, the wines are found in 160 liquor stores and restaurants. Check the winery website, www.MarjimManor.com, for the liquor store or restaurant closest to you.
