Lockport's Kenan Center is making final preparations for the 4th annual Niagara Wine & Beer Tasting Fest from 5-9 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Kenan Center Arena, 195 Beattie Ave.

A plethora of wineries, breweries, artisanal and specialty foods, and a variety of restaurants will participate in this year’s event.

The full list of breweries was announced this afternoon and includes 36 breweries from across the country — from as near as Barker's Barker Brewing to California's 21st Amendment. The full list:
The Kenan Center expects a full house for the event. It certainly had one
for the 3rd annual event in January of 2014.

The wineries announced so far are almost all local. They include:

the Niagara Wine & Beer Tasting Festival.

All ticket purchasers receive a souvenir glass, tasting journal, and a $5 food voucher that can be used at one of the restaurant vendors that evening. Wine by the bottle will be for sale.

New this year is a $50 VIP ticket. In addition to the benefits provided with regular ticket purchase, VIP patrons can enter early at 4 p.m., will have reserved parking, a special goody gift bag, and can purchase wine by the bottle for $1 off from 4-5 p.m. Less than 100 VIP tickets are available.

Food is another one of the event’s popular amenities, with a special focus on local farms, restaurants, and specialty food businesses. This year, the line-up includes Lakefront Olive Orchard, Pickle Annie’s, Blackman Homestead Farm, Premier Gourmet, Hens Honey Bee Farm, and Barker Chocolate Box, with Wagner’s Restaurant, Wine Trail Italian Bistro, Niagara Produce, and Cream & Sugar serving up their savory favorites.

The festivities include live music by the Dave Stoll Acoustic Trio, a basket raffle, and 50/50 split.

VIP and $25 pre-sale tickets are available through January 23 at the Kenan Center Business Office, 433 Locust Street, or at the Kenan Center Arena, 195 Beattie Avenue. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.NiagaraWineAndBeerFest.com. Admission at the door will be $35. Designated drivers will be admitted for $10 at the door. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages will be available This is an adult only event open to those age 21 and over with proper ID.
