TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 24-year-old Niagara Falls woman stands charged with stealing $173.31 worth of merchandise from Lockport.
According to a report made public Tuesday by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, two females exited the store with unpaid merchandise around 9:07 p.m. Thursday.
Patrol located the vehicle the two left in in the area of Ward and Lockport roads in Wheatfield.
The pair of women in the car were detained and transported back to Walmart where patrol reviewed the security footage which showed that only one female — Samantha L. Palmer, 1750 Cudaback Ave., Niagara Falls — removed unpaid merchandise from the store.
Patrol placed Palmer into custody while the other female was transported back to her residence in Niagara Falls. All the merchandise that was removed from the store was recovered.
Palmer was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Lockport Court on Jan. 15 and held in Niagara County Jail on $500 bail.
