A Rural Metro ambulance reportedly carrying a patient was involved in a head-on collision on South Transit Road near Shimer Drive just after 1 p.m.
Eyewitnesses say that there are now three of four people injured, including the original patient.
South Lockport Fire Co. was called to the scene.
Transit Road was closed between Shimer Drive and Strauss Road. The New York State Department of Transportation announced it had re-opened shortly after 2 o'clock.
