ENP STAFF REPORTS

NEWFANE — A Ridge Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone stole stereo equipment from a car in his detached garage sometime in mid- to late-November.
The complainant told patrol Sunday evening that the suspect entered his 2001 Monte Carlo, ripped the dash board off, damaging the car. The thief also entered the trunk of the car and took the stereo system and two 10-inch amplifiers.
According to the NCSO report, "it appears that wire cutters were used to remove the stereo system."
The complainant told patrol that he has had problems in the past with someone who used to live with him. He said he hadn't heard from the person in five months but that they were aware of the stereo's location and that he had stolen from him before.
The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
