The Jets first goal came from Mark Scheifele at 9:31 of the second period, assisted by Grant Clitsome and Evander Kane. About two minutes later Michael Frolik scored shorthanded, assisted by Jim Slater at 11:35. Mark Scheifele made it 3-1 Jets at 14:17, assisted by Mathieu Perreault and Frolik.

In the third, Kane scored on the power play at 1:11. Blake Wheeler and Scheifele were credited with assists on the goal. Chris Thorburn closed out the scoring at 12:39, assisted by Anthony Peluso and Mark Stuart.

With the loss, the Sabres record now stands at 13-17-2. Their next game is Saturday at 7 p.m. when the Colorado Avalanche come to town.
