ROYALTON — A 59-year-old Royalton woman was charged Saturday with animal cruelty.
Mary V. Allesandro was charged with the class A misdemeanor after New York State Troopers assisted the Niagara County SPCA in executing an arrest warrant. The Animal Cruelty warrant was requested after observing evidence of dog neglect.
Allesandro was arraigned in the Town of Royalton Court and was committed to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
