The Trailblazer ended up on its side.

A two-car crash at the corner of East Avenue and Elm Street briefly closed the intersection to traffic and reportedly sent two to the hospital this morning.

While an official police account of the crash is not yet available, eyewitness reports say that a female driving a tan Chevy Trailblazer went through a red light at around 9:45 a.m., crashing into a black Jeep driven by Darrin Chiappone. The Trailblazer ended up on its side, sustaining heavy damage to the driver's side, while the Jeep suffered front end damage.

A witness to the accident said that the unidentified female was taken to the hospital by paramedics after the crash. Chiappone was picked up and driven the hospital, as well. He said he was "shaken up" in the crash.
