ENP STAFF REPORTS

GASPORT — A Quaker Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies someone tried to withdraw more than $1,000 from his PayPal account recently.
The complainant told patrol Tuesday that he had noticed some suspicious activity on his Paypal account over the last few weeks. He said there were a few deposits made in his account that he knew didn't belong there and he refunded them immediately because the money wasn't his.
He said he then noticed someone attempted to withdraw $1164.90 from his account on Nov. 19. He said the Paypal account is linked with his personal bank account and he never gave anyone permission to withdraw said funds.
The man told patrol that he contacted Paypal, who froze the transaction before any money was transferred.
NCSO told the man to contact patrol with any new or additional information.
