ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A pair of Dyson vacuum cleaners were stolen from the Walmart on South Transit Road Saturday afternoon, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
Walmart staff told patrol that an older African American male entered the store and put a Dyson vacuum cleaner in his cart and left the store without paying around 1:22 p.m. The male then walked to the back of the parking lot and put the item in an unknown type of black vehicle, got into the passenger seat then left.
The male then returned a short time later in the black vehicle, got out of the passenger seat, and went into the store, where he took another Dyson vacuum and left the store without paying, again getting into the black vehicle in the back of the parking lot and leaving.
Walmart provided patrol with a deposition and a disc of images and video captured of the incident. The suspect male was wearing a hood in the store with a winter cap on. Patrol advised Walmart staff that a report would be on file with NCSO and available for review. Pending new information or identification of the suspect, patrol considers this case closed at this time.
