TOWN OF LOCKPORT — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robber who targeted the Subway Restaurant at, 6314 Robinson Road this morning.
According to the Sheriff's Office, a brown-eyed white or hispanic adult male, approximately 5-feet 9-inches with a medium build displayed a "kitchen style" knife at the store at approximately 8:30 a.m. The assailant was wearing a blue mask covering their face, a red hoodie, lighter colored baggy pants, and a green-tan coat that had a tag on the rear of the coat in between the shoulder blades.
A press release from NCSO says that the male entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the employee. Over $100 cash was given to the suspect by the employee. The employee was then told to wait in a walk-in style cooler for a period of time before exiting, threatening her with physical harm if she did not comply.
The suspect fled westbound out of the plaza. Prior to the robbery, the suspect was seen pacing in front of the restaurant for approximately one minute.
