NEWFANE — A Lockport-Olcott Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that late Friday night, a vehicle had damaged his bushes and his neighbor's mailbox.
The complainant said that around 11:30 p.m. the unknown vehicle went off the road and damaged his neighbor's mailbox first. Then it continued northbound and damaged his bushes and struck two trees before the vehicle left the scene.
The police report says that the vehicle appeared to strike the mail box and spun around causing the driver side to impact the first tree and the rear to impact the second tree. The suspect's vehicle was possibly dark blue in color due to parts left at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
