Saturday's and Sunday's Lockport Express games vs. the Syracuse Stampede will both be moved to Niagara University's Dwyer Arena.

The games had been slated to be played at Lockport's Cornerstone CFCU Arena but have been moved due to continued issues with the ice. Saturday's game will be held at 12:50 p.m., while Sunday's will be at 5:20 p.m. The games had been scheduled for 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.

The Express has yet to play a game in Cornerstone Arena. The team was originally supposed to play all of their home games there starting in mid- to late-September but arena construction delays required the team to play a home game in Batavia and a pair at Niagara University.

Cornerstone had been considered ice-ready earlier this month and the team's Oct. 18 game was expected to be played in Lockport but problems with the compressor led to issues with the ice, resulting in the postponement of the game against the Roc City Royals. It is now scheduled to be held on Nov. 14, making it the team's only home game in November.

Express Coach and GM Frank Vecchio previously said of the delays, “We know it’s a bit disappointing, but when people get inside and see this facility they’re going to be blown away. It truly is a premier rink."
