TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Strauss Road resident told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone stole her Garmin GPS from her car.
The woman told patrol that sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 12:54 p.m. Tuesday, an unknown person entered her vehicle and removed the GPS, which was kept in her glove compartment.
While investigating the vehicle, there appeared to be no evidence of forced entry or other damage, according to patrol. The woman said she wasn't certain if she had locked her car.
She was able to locate the box which the GPS was purchased in and patrol was able to copy the serial number from the box, which was entered into NYSPIN.
This case is closed due to lack of evidence.
