TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An Akron Street man and woman were charged with shoplifting from Walmart late Sunday.

Christopher S. Gauda, 33, and Sara A. The pair started to exit the store and were stopped in between the double set of doors by theWalmart employee and patrol.

Patterson was found to have items inside of a purse that she was carrying. They were taken into custody without incident and taken into the store security office, where patrol located several items inside Patterson's purse, jacket on her person.

All of the property was recovered and turned back over to Walmart, including band aids, candy, a computer router, Crystal Light, ear buds, a flash drive, kitchen strainers, lighters and a table cover. In all, the value of the items totaled $174.77.

The pair were issued appearance tickets and released. They are scheduled to appear in the Town of Lockport Court on Thursday to answer to the charge of petit larceny.
