OLCOTT — A West Main Street woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Wednesday that someone stole Suboxone strips and Ambien pills from a friend's home.
The woman said the incident happened on Aug. 14 while she was asleep at the friend's house. The friend said he had left the house for a while and when he returned, he saw an acquaintance sitting on the bed where the woman was sleeping — with her Suboxone in his hand. He stated that another person took the Suboxone away from the acquaintance and put them back in their box, telling the acquaintance to leave, which he did.
When the woman woke up, she discovered 20 Suboxone strips and 20 Ambien pills were missing.
This incident is being investigated by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.
