Lee Bennett
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Niagara County Sheriff's deputies charged a 25-year-old Ruhlmann Road man with unlawful imprisonment and driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

According to the NCSO arrest report, Lee Cedric Bennett, 6116 Ruhlmann Road, was seen pulling into the parking lot at the end of Ruhlmann Road without using a turn signal and driving erratically, spinning his tires and driving in circles.

When the vehicle was pulled over, a female passenger in the car said that Bennett would not allow her to exit the vehicle by driving erratically when she attempted to exit. Bennett was determined to be intoxicated and his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.12 percent.

He was taken into custody and transported him to the Town of Lockport Court where he was arraigned in front of Judge Leonard Tilney for the charges of unlawful imprisonment first degree, reckless endangerment second degree, menacing third degree, driving while intoxicated, and speeding.

He was remanded to Niagara County Jail on $1,000 cash bail / $2,000 bond and scheduled to return to Town of Lockport Court on Nov. 5.
