TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 42-year-old woman's debit card was used recently in Europe. Unfortunately for the woman, she wasn't there when it happened.

The Lower Mountain Road resident told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that she had gone to the store on Saturday and was surpised when her card was declined. That caused her to call the bank, who notified her that $275 worth of purchases were made in London and Russia.

The complainant told patrol that she had not made those purchases, nor had she given her PIN or card number to any other parties. She said she wanted a report on file for her bank's fraud investigators. This case is closed pending further information.
