MIDDLEPORT — A Ridge Road resident told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone stole her $1,000 diamond ring.
According to the report filed, the ring was taken sometime between 2:45 p.m and 8 p.m. Saturday.
The complainant said when she returned home, she found that her kitchen drawers and dresser drawers in her bedroom had been gone through and the ring that had been kept on a shelf in the bathroom was missing.
The woman said an exterminator had been in the apartment but the building manager said he was in the apartment when the building manager was there and they never entered the bedroom. He also said he's used the same exterminator for years and trusts him.
The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
