"Since the day that we opened, people have begged us to open for lunch," Mericana co-owner Kara Fearby said.
Last week, they got their wish.
The City Centre restaurant is now open from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
The first week of lunch went smoothly, Fearby said Friday. "Every day, it's gotten a little bit busier. I think the word is spreading quick."
The most popular lunch item so far? A Chef's Sandwich featuring smoked ham, provolone, white american, black pepper Alfredo spread and a fried egg on sourdough.
