LaVerne E. “Bud” Labiak of Newfane, NY, husband of Carole (Kennedy) Labiak entered into rest Monday, September 22, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane, NY.

He was born in North Tonawanda, NY, July 7, 1929, the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Kukucka) Labiak. He has lived in Newfane for the last 2 and 1/2 years previously residing in Ocala, Florida for 12 Years and also Lockport, NY. Bud was the plant manager at Battenfeld Grease and Oil Co. of North Tonawanda, NY where he retired after 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and NASCAR racing. Bud raced stock car # 16 when he was younger. He had a passion for his grandchildren and loved them very much.

Father of Kathleen Leuer of Albion, NY, Cinde (Victor) Prelosnjak of Elma, NY, Sandra Jason of Honeoye Falls, NY, Mark(Sharon) Labiak of NC and Eric(Eva) Labiak of Lockport, NY. Also survived by 8 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday September 25, 2014 at 11 AM. at Hess Road Wesleyan Church 2514 Hess Road Appleton, NY 14008.In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Lockport Care Net 229 East Ave. Lockport, NY 14094.
