The DeSales Knights started the swim season off with a 146-79 win on Sunday at City Honors High School. In the process of winning the meet over St. Mark's, the Knights were able to secure 24 all-star times.
The lone individual winner in the 8-and-under division was Henry Genewick in the 50 freestyle. The 100 Free Relay, composed of Eliana Benedict, Richard Keppler, Madison Rosenberg, and Jack Strong, also secured a win for the 8-and-unders.
The 9 - 10-year-old division was successful in individual swims as well as relays. Individual winners were Aidan Morgan in the 50 and 100 freestyle, Henry Murphy in the 100 IM, Elizabeth Swartz in the 50 butterfly, and Gracie Cordle in the 50 breaststroke. Securing a win in the 200 Medley Relay was Elizabeth Kershaw, Gracie Cordle, Aidan Morgan, and Madison Fragale. The 200 Free Relay made up of Madison Fragale, Henry Murphy, William Rahill, and Gracie Cordle also won.
The 11-and-older division saw wins by Sarah Mullane in the 200 freestyle, Isabel Treanor in both the 50 freestyle and 50 backstroke, Alexandra Fox in the 100 freestyle, and Sam Murphy in the 50 breaststroke. Scoring a win in the 200 Medley Relay was Sarah Mullane, Sam Murphy, Bianca Franco, and Celia Rahill. The 200 Free Relay composed of Harmon Smith, Sam Murphy, Alexandra Fox, and Sarah Mullane also scored a win for DeSales.
Next up for the Knights is Saint Stephens at Grand Island High School on Sunday.
