Jessica Alt ascends to the top.
The pyramid formation designed by "The Alternators" Saturday night helped the team climb the greased pole in just over a minute in the 2014 Niagara County Fair Greased Pole Competition..

Nicole Clapsaddle applies the grease.
With Jessica Alt at the top, Nicholas Bachman, Andrew Alt, Brian Alt, Brandon Alt, Kassy Meadow, Anthony Pavlock, Matthew Sweeney, and John Austin provided the support to get Jessica to the top of the heavily greased pole in a minute and seven seconds.

Some of the team wore swim caps to keep the grease of of their hair. Some team members came away clean while others walked away caked in grease.

Nicole Clapsaddle greased the pole minutes before the ascent.

"The Alternators" were the only team to take part in the contest Saturday night.
