Police prepare to search a North Transit Street home while looking for a  suspect on a warrant.

Lockport Police assisted U.S. Marshals and other law enforcement organizations in two afternoon raids today.

The raids, on North Transit Street and Willow Street, were conducted around 2 p.m. as the Marshal's service sought a suspect on a warrant.

The warrant search was unrelated to a pair of shootings in the city's north end over the past two nights.

As it turned out, they didn't find the suspect in either home and will continue to look for them, according to Lockport Police Chief Larry Eggert.
