Anthony M. Sammarco, 17, 27 Cave St., was charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday. According to the arrest report filed by LPD, Sammarco was involved in a theft on June 5 in which an Xbox 360 game console, three controllers and seven games were stolen from a Church Street home. He was found Tuesday standing in front of a North Transit Street home and arrested without incident. In a separate incident, Sammarco is accused of stealing $100 from the same woman on June 9, resulting in a second petit larceny charge.

Stanley B. Brown, 25, 6 Walnut St., Apt. 3, was charged with third-degree assault and petit larceny around 10:39 a.m. Tuesday. According to LPD, Brown threw a woman to the ground on June 16, then picked her up and struck her, first with his fist, then with a wooden-handled yard rake. He then stole her cell phone and drove off on his bike.

Lewis C. Wright II, 29, 152 Cottage St., Apt. 1, was charged with second-degree harassment and criminal contempt around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to his arrest report, Wright violated a stay away order around 2:15 a.m. He was slated to return to Lockport City Court on Wednesday.

Joshua A. Gates, 29, 1266 Ridgewood Dr., was charged around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday with filing a false statement and third-degree false representation of an incident. According to the report filed by LPD, Gates reported his Nissan Sentra stolen on Jan. 21. He said he had let an acquaintance borrow the car and the man never returned it. However, LPD determined in April that the report was falsified. Gates was found on Tuesday morning driving the car he had reported stolen -- without a seatbelt.
