Lockport's Community Market kicks off Saturday, bigger and better than ever.

The Hot Country Liners entertain the crowd last year at the Community
Market on Canal Street.
The market, held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Saturday during July, August and September, will feature live entertainment, activities and demonstrations, and a multitude of vendors each week offering fresh produce, meat, baked goods, local wine, jewelry, unique gifts, and more.

Vendors will vary from week to week, as the market continues to add new ones. Vendors are still being accepted each week as space allows, according to Heather Peck, Lockport Main Street program manager and organizer of the annual market.

Vendors confirmed thus far include:

  • A Gust of Sun Winery: Wine
  • Black and White Publishing Co.: Books by author Melanie Schulz
  • Black Cat Bread: Sourdough breads, bagels, pretzels and rolls
  • Bonard’s/Applewood Hollow: Premium coffee, cocoa and microwave fudge
  • Books & More: Books
  • Cream & Sugar Ice Cream Cafe: Warm cinnamon rolls, homemade granola fruit and yogurt parfaits, 
  • additional breakfast pastries
  • Carole’s Robins Nest: Sandblasted glass items, painted items, sewn items, crochet items and jewelry
  • Creations By Melanie: Handcrafted jewelry
  • Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue: Animal adoption
  • Different Woods: Wood crafts
  • Dispenza’s Meat Market: Natural local raised beef pork and chicken. Homemade speciality sausages & other local products
  • Eclectic Scents: Artisan Soap, Bath & Body Treats
  • Epic Blue Acres: Pasture raised eggs & heritage chicken meat, heirloom vegetables & fruit, kombucha tea
  • Grandma Katie: Quilts, travel purses & little girls dresses

Live entertainment can be found each week in the Canal Street gazebo, and activties for children and adults will be conducted throughout the season.

The Lockport Community Market will also be featuring free Yoga classes before the market opens each Saturday during July and August. Classes will be offered each from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the Canal Street gazebo. No previous experience needed. All ages, levels, and abilities welcome. Please bring a mat, blanket or towel and a water bottle. No pre-registration is necessary; participants are encouraged to just show up to class. Other activities specific to this Saturday include

  • 9 a.m. to noon: David Stockton in the Canal Street gazebo.
  • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Magic by the amazing Alibus Magicae!
  • 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: The Historic Palace Theatre (the cast of Peter Pan) performs live in the gazebo.
