LEWISTON — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office has canceled an alert for residents in the area of 1020 James Dr. to "shelter in place."
One man is in custody following what is now being referred to by some as a "stand off."
"Patrols are still on scene concluding the investigation," according to Lewiston PD. "There is no longer a threat, the male is in custody. Further information to come."
Residents are advised to resume normal operations.
More details are forthcoming via a press release, according to the Lewiston Police Department.
