TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 29-year-old West Seneca woman was charged with petit larceny on Friday after police say she stole two pairs of shorts from Walmart.
Melissa A. Woodworth, 124 Abbott Road, West Seneca, was seen by Walmart employees take two pairs of shorts off their hangers and conceal them in her backpack, according to her arrest report. She then passed all points of purchase with the shorts in her backpack. Walmart personnel detained her for police.
Woodworth told patrol she did not know why she took the shorts. She was charged with petit larceny and ordered to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Tuesday before being released.
