Matthew Kearns
HARTLAND — A 29-year-old Olcott man was charged late Saturday night with driving while intoxicated after police found his car in a ditch at the intersection of Seaman and Quaker roads.

When patrol arrived, around 11:22 p.m. Matthew M. Kearns, 5615 West Bluff, Olcott, approached patrol and began to apologize for the incident stating that it was his fault and that he was the driver of the vehicle, according to the report.

NCSO determined Kearns to be intoxicated and charged him with DWI. He was transported to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office where he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .16 percent. He was then transported to the Niagara County Jail and held in lieu of $250 bail. He is set to appear in the Town of Hartland Court on July 1.
